How many of us go to God in prayer with a repentant heart? When we fall into sin and ask God to help us, we go before God with a contrite heart. Why? So that we can make things right before God. We don’t want to hurt the Father and when David sinned, {him being a man after God’s own heart} he understood it displeased God and he did not want to jeopardize his relationship with the Father behind his sinful nature.
He cried out to God asking him to cleanse and renew his spirit, giving him a pure heart and this is the way of the Father. David sinned but he wanted to be like his Father and this is where many of us should be. There is a great fallen away and God does not want you to miss out on our destiny with Him.
